Weekend rentals close on Wednesdays at 2pm. The option of a Saturday delivery is available for last minute bookings (at your own risk) these are sent off on a Friday. GENERAL

Q. How do I rent a designer dress or festival outfit?

A. Renting designer dresses and festival outfits is easy with Lend the Trends; the instructions to rent are as follows:

Explore our range of rentals and choose from various designers, styles and sizes.  

Once you've found your dream outfit, select the date of arrival on the calendar function, and enter your details at check out. Your order will arrive at least one day before your event! 

The following working day after your event, return your rental in the postage bag provided or drop it back at our Hamilton HQ if you select to pick up/drop off.

 

Q. What date do I select when booking my garment?

A. Book for the date you want the garment to arrive. You will be given the option to select a 4 or 8-day rental period on the booking calendar - 4 days is the standard option and caters for a typical weekend rental period, but 8 days is also available for renters who need the garment for longer.

 

Q. How is Lend the Trends environmentally friendly?

A. Sustainability is a big value of ours at Lend the Trends, and we do our best to be ethical and environmentally friendly where we can. Refer to our sustainability tab on our homepage to see how we promote sustainability in our practice. 

 

Q. Can I try on an outfit before renting?

A. Yes, our try-on service is available by appointment only. To try on a range of our designer dresses, send us an email to secure a try-on spot, free of charge. Our HQ is based in the Eastern Suburbs of Sydney, Australia.  

 

Q. How does the cleaning work? 

A. We cover the standard cleaning of your garment, so send it back to us as is. You will need to cover any marks or stains that sit outside our typical cleaning standard - this is at the sole discretion of Lend the Trends as per our T&C's. 

 

Q. What if I don't like my garment or it doesn't fit?

A. Unfortunately, we do not compensate with a store credit or refund for this. However, if you are in Sydney, we may be able to swap your garment for you. This will need to be organised quickly, and only if we have the time and resources available - so if this happens, reach out as soon as possible. 

 

Q. My event got cancelled. Can I get a refund or store credit?

A. For bookings made directly via Lend the Trends, we will only offer store credit if you cancel your garment at least two weeks before your booking date. This credit is valid for one year only.  

For bookings made via our third-party provider, All the Dresses, you will only be eligible for an All the Dresses Credit or refund if your cancellation is at least two weeks before your booking date.

DELIVERY

Q. When do I expect to receive my order? 

A. We aim to have your order with you 1-3 days before your event. However, as we use a third-party provider, this is only an estimate - the standard delivery time is one day before your event. 

 

Q. When is the latest I can order? 

A. To ensure your order gets to you on time, please try and place your orders as early as possible. We offer nationwide delivery for standard orders with a cut-off time of 2pm Wednesday and host last-minute local pick-ups in Hamilton, NZ.

 

Q. Do you deliver nationwide?

A. Yes! Select your postal option via our checkout for rural and residential delivery New Zealand wide.

 

RETURNS PROCESS

Q. How do I return my rental? 

A. Place your return in the pre-paid postage bag provided one working day after your event and drop it off at your local NZ post shop.

 

Q. What do I do if I lose my returns parcel?

A. Please get in touch with us immediately for our postal address.

 

Q. When do I need to return my rental?  

A. To avoid late fees, please ensure your rental is sent back to us the next working day after your event.
